Travel Boo-boo

Last Thursday, I finalized our plans to go to the US. I already bought our tickets. It was all so sudden because the travel deal expired the next day. I needed to make a decision fast because the promo seats are limited.

My mother's travel agent was very accommodating, considering that I changed my itinerary several times. It was ever-changing because I had to consider my husband's schedule also. We're booked on the 29th then moved to 31st then back to the 29th. We had several points-of-entry in mind because we're going to SFO, Vegas and LA, all accessible by PAL.

Finally, I had my mind set on the 29th because Vic said he can go on leave two days earlier. I told the agent to finalize the booking. When everything is all booked, I realized that we can NOT leave on the 29th. I will be coming from Taipei on the 29th. We're scheduled to arrive in the afternoon. If I leave via PAL in the evening, I will not see my kids. That is nearly three straight weeks of not seeing them. That is not acceptable.

So, now, I am on the phone trying to see if we're booked on the 31st.

I have always been afraid of the dark.  But growing up and becoming a parent, I have learned to overcome that (along with other fears), so that my children will not grow up fearing trivial things.

We've heard about the usual reseller shops that house these luxury brands.  The one I can remember now is Daikokuya. I must've visited almost all reseller shops I've seen on the road.  I've noticed that these shops carry the top 3 popular ones:  Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.  There still are several pieces of Balenciaga, Valentino, Tory Burch, Celine, Gucci and Michael Kors but not as abundant as the top 3.  I guess what carries the most value are the three popular ones. If you are looking for cheap designer bags, I suggest checking out Don Quixote.  You will usually find on the topmost floors on Donki.  I think this is the one in Shinjuku. I am not so sure. You find them arranged like this or inside locked glass cabinets.  I'm sure the artisans who made these bags will tu...

Gratitude Calendar 2024

I stumbled upon a "challenge" that I thought would be fun and something I can actually do.  I think this will help change my mindset and prepare me for the coming holidays.  Here goes.... Today, I am grateful for the following: 1.  Time for prayer 2.  Convenience of travel and parking when we visited the cemetery 3.  Free lunch
