Me, A Convert?

I am not really a fan of the iPhone. But after seeing the latest version, iPhone4 , I just MAY become a convert. Ang ganda niya! I don't know which one I like better, the black one or the silver.

iLike

I was looking for an update for iPhoto, when I saw this ad I haven't even used my folding mouse from Microsoft, and I'm inclined to get the new Magic Mouse . It is so cool. Trust Apple to come up with new innovations to an already useful tool. Click on the link to see the demo.

For Less Than $200...

... we got our Macbook's LCD replaced. Vic found a site called iFixit that sells the LCD screen for a little over $150. That already includes shipping to a U.S. address. It was quite timely that Vic's dad had a scheduled trip to the U.S. So, he brought it home with him. A nearby Apple store said that they'd to the replacement for 1.5K. Go na! So, the Mac's been fixed since Monday. Not bad, eh? It sure beats the 20K the Apple store was charging.

Puzzled

This is how I am currently accessing the Internet. This is how the IT in me made it work. As I've written in my previous post, I have several options on how to still utilize the Mac. I tried using the TV as my monitor. It worked on Vic's Lenovo but it won't work on the Mac. I finally got over the laziness and decided to test the PC monitor. It worked! Excitedly, I detached the monitor from the desktop and transferred it to the bedroom. That way, I can stay with my sleeping boys while I surf. When I finally decided to log back in again, I can't see my wallpaper, the icons and everything else! Grrr . I figured, it must be the resolution. Since I have a broken monitor, my only option is to use the short keys. I called several people to see if the can help me out. I got nothing. Apparetly , there are no short keys to change the resolution. It seemed stupid, but I decided to reconnect the Mac to the TV again then to the stand-alone monitor. It worked the first ...

Mac's broken

The husband accidentally dragged the Macbook to the floor. He broke the monitor. A. Shop at the Podium quoted P20K for the replacement. Someone said it will be around $200. We're waiting to hear from Vic's contact from MicroWarehouse. I hope it is cheaper. If not, we are considering sending it to the States for fixing. If that is the case, I will be without the Net for two weeks. Grrr. Now, that I have time to surf, I don't have a laptop. The desktop's broken, too. As a workaround, we bought a cable to connect the Mac to the TV. I hope that would work out. I think I can live with that. In the meantime, I am using the husband's laptop.

Apple and Estrell's

We got information that an authorized reseller of Apple hardware is having a sale. Being fans of Apple, we rushed off to the sale for some accessories for our Apple products. Vic wanted to get additional memory for the Macbook. We ended up getting an external drive instead. There were nice products on sale like the Altec Lansing dock for sale at less than 5 thousand. The Apple TV caught our attention also. But the price is quite hefty for something we do not plan to use that often. There are lots of accessories and peripherals for the iPod and Macbooks. If you are interested, here is a list of products that are on sale. By the way, sale items must be paid in cash only. Just a note of warning, the stretch of Sct Rallos is quite bumpy due to the road construction. I suggest passing through Sct Tobias instead. The office is just a few meters from the corner so the walk is quite manageable. Click here for the map . ------------------- As we were parking, we saw a place we've...
