Another Year, Another Lockdown

          A year into the pandemic, the virus is still looming over us with no end in sight. Businesses are still struggling.  Another school year has begun for the kids.  Because of that, I have been granted some "muni-muni" time.             Sitting down at my desk, I realize that I have made giant leaps in one year.  It took a great deal of time management on my end.  It is rewarding to see how our home-schooling arrangement has benefited my children.  I have become a more patient parent-teacher.  I have implemented changes in the family business and I am seeing positive results.  I am now in the position to give help, rather than stay on the sidelines.  I have been taking voice lessons and I am noticing how I have improved over time.  I am on my way to financial independence and my spending habits are improving.  Weight and health management is still a work in prog...

To Put Things In Perspective

The past week was difficult.  I portrayed all roles.  I was a home manager, teacher, baker, business manager, singer and negotiator apart from being a wife, a daughter and a mother.   I pour my my whole being in the roles I play.  This is why I feel frustrated and betrayed when the effort I put into a particular role isn't appreciated and properly acknowledged.  Here is a note to self, a reminder to value myself even if others forget, and to chose the people who will make me happy and feel valued.  I just have to let the others pass through.  

Hello 2019

                                                                            *photo not mine I've put a lot on hold in the past few months.  Because of that competition/junket tour, which I have yet to blog about, my list of to dos has grown.  I've prayed fervently for guidance and discernment.  I guess, it is now up to me to get things started.  Last year, I realized that I should start investing my time on things and people who would value my input.  I've started discarding things that do not "spark joy," as Marie Kondo puts it.  That included people, because I need inspiring people to propel me forward.  This year, I am going to be more deliberate in executing my plans.  I have plans for personal development (skill-wise and health-wise),  fin...
