Cutty

Going to the United States with kids in tow is a different experience.  My kids have never traveled that long in a plane.  No yayas were around to look after them.  Vic and I took turns washing them and giving them baths.  We also took turns feeding them. Everyday of that two-week trip, I thanked God for modern conveniences like microwavable food, the dishwasher, Disney Junior and Target pushcarts with built-in forward-facing seats.  It made my job as a mother and a parent easier.  Watching over my boys were not really a chore.  They were big enough to be left alone to play.  Vic and I could just let them sit in front of the TV so we can pack/unpack and do other chores.  I didn't mind doing it until they were being bratty or fighting over toys. This is the reason why this blog hasn't gotten any updates. Our visitors have arrived and we've gone through the activities of Jan 6 and Jan 7 with no major setbacks. We've performed GP's arrangement of Better World and have enjoyed Kare Kare together. The members of all three choirs have warmed up to each other even if language is a barrier. The workshop turned out to be really successful. Our attendees doubled in number that's why we had to transfer to a bigger venue. We had a minor issue with the availability of materials but it was rectified just in time. Today is concert day and it is going to be big. We are expecting important personalities, several ambassadors and other dignitaries. It is just unfortunate that no one from the Japan Embassy can come and support our Japanese visitors. Oh well. This is it pansit!

This was the day of our major performance. For the second time around, we will sing at the Main Concert Hall. This is how it looks like inside. The risers you see are powered by hydraulics. Bongga! This is how it looks from the outside. But before the major performance, we served as the demo choir for the choral workshop our conductor gave. It was held at the lobby, beside the grand staircase. In the beginning, we doubted if we can fill up the place. When they let the people in, it was filled up to the brim. There were also several people standing by the sidelines. But before all that, we had some time to ham it up in front of the camera. Yep, that's ACS for you. We always have time for work and play.
