Hola 2024!

Another new year has begun.  It is time to go back and revisit what has been done and what needs to be done.  It is time to re-evaluate what was effective and what needs to be improved.  I have made it a tradition to set my annual goals and targets at the beginning of the year.  Knowing that I have ticked off my goals for the year gives a sense of fulfillment that trumps all the heartaches and sacrifices to get me to where I am. In 2023:          ✔   Travel with husband.  I am amazed that we were able to do this for both work and pleasure.          ✔  Travel with the whole family          ✔  Start a new income stream         ✔   Sell more EVs.  I know this is vague.  But we were able to get into the retail market and find our niche.          ✔  Daily prayers and meditation This year, 2024, ...

New Year, New Goals

I am really not into resolutions at the beginning of the year.  I find them corny.  However, recently, I learned the importance of setting goals.  I listed down goals I wanted to achieve for 2021 and I am so relieved that I achieved most of them.  So, yeah, I am more into goal-setting. This afternoon, my husband and I had a one-on-one to set our family goals.  We haven't done so in the past.  I realized that we are so aligned that we have the same priorities and goals for our family.  I am so grateful to have a partner in life who has the same priorities as me.  I was worried that I had to convince him about some plans I had in mind.  I am also relieved that he hasn't forgotten to dream and yearn for better things for himself and for our family.  We've planned our major expenses for the year.  We've figured out how to fund our business ventures too.  If everything pans out, hopefully, we'll be able to move on to our long term p...

Hello 2019

*photo not mine I've put a lot on hold in the past few months.  Because of that competition/junket tour, which I have yet to blog about, my list of to dos has grown.  I've prayed fervently for guidance and discernment.  I guess, it is now up to me to get things started.  Last year, I realized that I should start investing my time on things and people who would value my input.  I've started discarding things that do not "spark joy," as Marie Kondo puts it.  That included people, because I need inspiring people to propel me forward.  This year, I am going to be more deliberate in executing my plans.  I have plans for personal development (skill-wise and health-wise),  fin...

Happy New Year From Sofitel

I am not Chinese so I have no business celebrating the new year.  However, with offerings such as these, who could resist celebrating with our Chinese brothers and sisters? C'est magnifique!

Great Finds for the New Year

I'm always excited to try out new products.  I've tried these new products and found them to be very satisfactory.  I hope you get to try these out too. 1. Soap and Glory's Clarity - I was about to become Rudolf, the reindeer, before I found this.  It stopped my zit from becoming a full-blown center-of-attraction.  It has a very refreshing smell that is very much needed after a sweating it out the whole day.  Available at Sephora stores. 2.  Mocha Rose by Rosebud Perfume Co -  If you like the Rosebud Salve balms that come in small tin pods, you will love this product.  It comes in an easy-open tube for convenience and effortless application.  The application tip has a velvety texture unlike most balms in a tube.  More importantly, the balm is so effective, it took out the dryness on my lips in a couple of applications.  Also available at Sephora stores.  ...

Travelling with My Kids

I thought that by now, Vic and I are experts on travelling with kids.  In the past five years, we've taken five or six vacations with them.   One of which is a long haul trip.  No major incidents took place in the past, so I guess we did things the way it should be done. I knew what to expect.  I was set on not being able to do all things I want to do.  We made sure not to pack all days with strenuous activities.  I have made a mental note of where to take the kids so they'd be entertained.  We also have allowances for resting.  I was even prepared for tantrums. On our recent trip to Singapore during the New Year Weekend, I was quite confident that we could pull it off.  Together with my husband's side of the family, we took the afternoon flight to Singapore last Thursday.  Vic and I reserved a row of Choice Seats so we will be comfortable with the kids.  We brought Johann (4 y/o), Javi (3 y/o), Bettina (1 y/o) and yaya....
