Cutty

The end of the month is just approaching but my kids are already tired of dressing up and asking for candies.  Hehehe. School was out since last Thursday.  On the day before that, Javi dressed up in traditional Korean costume.  This costume was "photo-finished."  Renting was too expensive.  Buying was not an option because I can no longer find one.    We asked my mother's nurse, who is a seamstress on the side, to make one four days prior to the school parade.  It turned out well.    Johann's attire was Hawaiian-inspired, courtesy of Landmark. On Thursday, they came as Woody, Buzz and Dora at Vic's office Trick or Treat.  It was better this year since they had a chance to nap before they roamed around the office buildings.  We've used Woody and Buzz in the past, but, this is the only time the costumes fit them well.  Bettina's costume was fuss-free.  It's a good thing she has Dora's backpack. As soon as we got back from Vic's office's annual Trick or Treat, Johann dumped all their goodies on the bed.  Both big and small Kuyas were excited to sort through their loot.  They got their usual favorites, jelly ace and a few Hershey's kisses.  They recently discovered Flat Tops and Curly Tops, so Javi horded them too.  This is the start of their love affair with candy. Before going to the office, we had to bribe them with candy just to get them dressed up.  "I don't like candy!"  That's what they said.  Ha! So now, they know what Trick or Treat is about.  I had to play cop and ration their treats to 3 pieces each.  Otherwise, we'd be battling tonsilitis tomorrow.  For sure, we won't have problems making them dress up next time. -------------------- Speaking of treats, the kids weren't the only ones who came home with them.  While the boys were with Daddy, I went to BHS with Bettina.  I came  home with these.....

Now that we've prepared way in advance, it seems that we wont be needing these: We have something planned that conflicts with our village Trick or Treat. We don't know if our usual Trick or Treat event will push through. The kids wont be going to the office Halloween parties either. Sayang, major effort pa naman.

This year Johann became part of the Trick or Treat festivities in my in-laws' place. I was able to cough up a simple costume for him that didn't require too much preparation. All I needed was a pair of wings for our little angel. My good, old friend, SM provided it for me. Here are some shots of Johann and his cousins. I apologize for the poor quality.
