Survivors in HK - Day 2

After a good night's rest, we were off to breakfast outside the hotel. We decided to leave the stroller in the room. We should've decided otherwise since the nearest Cafe de Coral was located at the other end of the mall. The day has barely begun and Vic was already exhausted. He carried Johann all the way to the cafe.

The HK city tour has changed since the last time I was there. We went to Victoria Harbor to have our pictures taken for our souvenir plates. Of course, no trip would be complete without a stop at our fave coffee shop.

The tour also had other stops at a jewelry outlet and a "pasalubong" shop (where Johann left behind his very own pasalubong). Let us not forget the most important part of this tour...

By this time, Johann is already showing signs of exhaustion. He hasn't slept a wink the whole morning. He wanted to get up from his stroller. He refused to put on his hood. I was just about to give up. Smiling for the picture above was a good distraction.

It was chilly that day. It was extra cool due to the rain. The little boy had no problems sleeping in that weather.

We had to let the rain stop before we can visit the attractions. We ended up going inside this one

and ended up waiting for this

We left the park with this magical image of HK Disney.

What a fantastic way to end a tiring day.

We've heard about the usual reseller shops that house these luxury brands.  The one I can remember now is Daikokuya. I must've visited almost all reseller shops I've seen on the road.  I've noticed that these shops carry the top 3 popular ones:  Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.  There still are several pieces of Balenciaga, Valentino, Tory Burch, Celine, Gucci and Michael Kors but not as abundant as the top 3.  I guess what carries the most value are the three popular ones. If you are looking for cheap designer bags, I suggest checking out Don Quixote.  You will usually find on the topmost floors on Donki.  I think this is the one in Shinjuku. I am not so sure. You find them arranged like this or inside locked glass cabinets.  I'm sure the artisans who made these bags will tu...

Gratitude Calendar 2024

I stumbled upon a "challenge" that I thought would be fun and something I can actually do.  I think this will help change my mindset and prepare me for the coming holidays.  Here goes.... Today, I am grateful for the following: 1.  Time for prayer 2.  Convenience of travel and parking when we visited the cemetery 3.  Free lunch
