One of the tasks I agreed to do for the FIL's party is to look for souvenir options. At the beginning, I thought that small bottles of wines would be very symbolic. Wine gets better with age. The same is the case with my FIL. However, knowing that only a handful drink in Vic's side of the family, I opted to get coffee beans instead as party souvenirs.
I used W@W, a local wedding resource to look for suppliers. I figured, that being affiliated with a well-known organization, I wouldn't have problems.
I chanced upon WEG Designs. They have lovely products at reasonable prices. They were prompt in answering my first inquiry. However, the succeeding ones I had to pester them for answers. Since I was pressed for time and didn't have too many options, I took the risk and decided to order from them. After a few days, I asked to meet with Amix so I can see the product in person. It was also a deciding factor if I should seal the deal with my deposit.
Our first meeting got delayed. She kept on moving it at a later time. I should have known that it would lead to greater delays in the future. I had to consistently call her to remind her that she failed to submit her Aug 2 and Aug 8 deliverables. As the paying customer, I shouldn't be chasing her. She always had an excuse for not delivering on time. I mentioned this to her during one of our conversations. She gave me nothing but guarantees that she'll be able to give me what I need before Friday, Aug 15.
As agreed upon, via phone call, Aug 14, 8PM was supposedly our meeting time for the final product delivery. Knowing that she is never on time, I decided to wait it out before heading to our meeting place. She is bound to let me know if she'll be there on time or not. True enough, I got a missed call from her. I had to call back to find out that she needs to have the delivery date moved to tomorrow AM.
I was silent for a long time. She even said that I can delay the final payment if that will be a problem. I told her that my problem was her meeting the deadline. I was reluctant but I had no choice. She offered to send it to my home address. I agreed but I had given her an ultimatum. If I do not have the items by 10 AM, I am not getting them anymore and that she should expect giving my deposit back.
One important lesson she should learn is to not agree on delivery dates if she has no intention of meeting them. A professional and responsible person would have the decency to inform one's customer if the deadline is realistic.
I guess, you kinda gathered that I highly DO NOT recommend them to anyone. The person I talked to is extremely unreliable. I learned my lesson. I should listen to my instincts more. I should know how to interpret the signs.
Oh well.
