Delgado - McAfee Wedding

I was glad to have this singing engagement amidst all the domestic chaos. I was fun to break away and see faces I haven't seen in weeks. They all remarked how my tummy had grown.

The wedding was, once again, a high-profile one. The bride wore a gown that looked like it was by Monique L. The entourage came in pewter dresses. It was a very elegant and classy as gathering. I felt like an Indio (a derogatory word meaning uneducated, dark-skinned, second-class citizen) in a sea of fair-skinned people.

Notable guests were Doris Ho, Washington Sycip, Tina and Rico Ocampo. Tina, though trying not to draw attention to herself, was a head-turner. She was statuesque in her long, black, haltered evening dress. I didn't notice if she was carrying one of her Celestina minaudieres.

The ceremony itself was very quick and simple. Even the songs they requested were uncomplicated. It ended on a sweet note, with the groom hugging and whispering to his bride.

It was a definite celebration of the couple's love and blessed union. I look forward to weddings like this.

We've heard about the usual reseller shops that house these luxury brands.  The one I can remember now is Daikokuya. I must've visited almost all reseller shops I've seen on the road.  I've noticed that these shops carry the top 3 popular ones:  Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.  There still are several pieces of Balenciaga, Valentino, Tory Burch, Celine, Gucci and Michael Kors but not as abundant as the top 3.  I guess what carries the most value are the three popular ones. If you are looking for cheap designer bags, I suggest checking out Don Quixote.  You will usually find on the topmost floors on Donki.  I think this is the one in Shinjuku. I am not so sure. You find them arranged like this or inside locked glass cabinets.  I'm sure the artisans who made these bags will tu...

Gratitude Calendar 2024

I stumbled upon a "challenge" that I thought would be fun and something I can actually do.  I think this will help change my mindset and prepare me for the coming holidays.  Here goes.... Today, I am grateful for the following: 1.  Time for prayer 2.  Convenience of travel and parking when we visited the cemetery 3.  Free lunch
