Puzzled

This is how I am currently accessing the Internet. This is how the IT in me made it work.

As I've written in my previous post, I have several options on how to still utilize the Mac. I tried using the TV as my monitor. It worked on Vic's Lenovo but it won't work on the Mac. I finally got over the laziness and decided to test the PC monitor. It worked!

Excitedly, I detached the monitor from the desktop and transferred it to the bedroom. That way, I can stay with my sleeping boys while I surf.

When I finally decided to log back in again, I can't see my wallpaper, the icons and everything else! Grrr. I figured, it must be the resolution. Since I have a broken monitor, my only option is to use the short keys. I called several people to see if the can help me out. I got nothing. Apparetly, there are no short keys to change the resolution.

It seemed stupid, but I decided to reconnect the Mac to the TV again then to the stand-alone monitor. It worked the first time. Lo and behold, I was able to see my screen again. I quickly changed the resolution. After several adjustments, I gave the built-in cam a try. It works too. Happy, happy, happy me. I wanted to take a shot of my current setup using the cam. But, the cable got disconnected in the process. When I turned it back on, I am back to the NO ICONS screen. Grrrr! The resolution change wasn't applied because of the missing OK/Apply button.

Back to square 1.

Hay, it is definitely tedious but it works. I can live with that.

If only I can figure out..
... why I have to sync it to the TV every time.
... why I'm not seeing all the buttons in the web page.

Some function buttons keys don't work also. I am hoping that the broken monitor is the only problem.

Lucky you.

It took me the whole day to make the macbook appear on my windows network.

It took me several hours more to make the macbook ACCESSIBLE to the network.

And, I'm no IT, mind you.

IT-IThan lang.

Wahahahahahha

I have always been afraid of the dark.  But growing up and becoming a parent, I have learned to overcome that (along with other fears), so that my children will not grow up fearing trivial things.

Luxury Bags in Japan

Since almost everyone I know visited Japan this summer, I would like re-live my visit this year through this post.  This time, I will focus on luxury bags. We've heard about the usual reseller shops that house these luxury brands.  The one I can remember now is Daikokuya. I must've visited almost all reseller shops I've seen on the road.  I've noticed that these shops carry the top 3 popular ones:  Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.  There still are several pieces of Balenciaga, Valentino, Tory Burch, Celine, Gucci and Michael Kors but not as abundant as the top 3.  I guess what carries the most value are the three popular ones. If you are looking for cheap designer bags, I suggest checking out Don Quixote.  You will usually find on the topmost floors on Donki.  I think this is the one in Shinjuku. I am not so sure. You find them arranged like this or inside locked glass cabinets.  I'm sure the artisans who made these bags will tu...

Gratitude Calendar 2024

I stumbled upon a "challenge" that I thought would be fun and something I can actually do.  I think this will help change my mindset and prepare me for the coming holidays.  Here goes.... Today, I am grateful for the following: 1.  Time for prayer 2.  Convenience of travel and parking when we visited the cemetery 3.  Free lunch
