Singapore and the F1 Grand Prix

One of the trips that I'll be missing out on, now that I am 7 months preggy, is the one with Singapore F1. This is the second trip I'll be skipping for this year.

I am really not that big of a fan of Formula 1 racing. The Sepang race three years ago would do. I just wanted to see Singapore since I've never gone there before. To make up for my loss (or missed opportunity to shop), I am making a list of things to do for Vic. This task is actually more punishing because I keep on reading up on places I wont get to see in person. Hay....

Here is my short-list:
  • Try the duck tours or HiPPO tours (ducktours.com.sg)
  • Songs of the Sea show at the Sentosa Merlion
  • Night Safari
  • Singapore Zoo
  • Try the Chili/Black Pepper Crab at Jumbo in Clark Quay
  • Eat at the Kopi Tiam or Food Republic
  • Get Royce chocolates at Suntec (for me)
  • Get F1 merchandise for Johann and for himself
  • Shop at Sim Lim, Vivo or Lucky for cams (for Vic) and other pasalubongs
  • Ikea for some items for the home
  • Meet up with Mike and Boboy
My list seems too short for a week's stay. This is actually his second trip to Singapore. Since he is not much of a shopper or an art aficionado, I am not sure what else he can do or what he'll enjoy doing.

-----------------------

I am not hoping to receive (nor am I requesting for) any grand pasalubong from this trip. I have gotten a pretty awesome gift last weekend. Anyway, he is pretty thoughtful when it comes to getting stuff for us when he is away on trips. I trust your judgment, hun. =)

Gratitude Calendar 11/5

I have always been afraid of the dark.  But growing up and becoming a parent, I have learned to overcome that (along with other fears), so that my children will not grow up fearing trivial things.

Luxury Bags in Japan

Since almost everyone I know visited Japan this summer, I would like re-live my visit this year through this post.  This time, I will focus on luxury bags. We've heard about the usual reseller shops that house these luxury brands.  The one I can remember now is Daikokuya. I must've visited almost all reseller shops I've seen on the road.  I've noticed that these shops carry the top 3 popular ones:  Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.  There still are several pieces of Balenciaga, Valentino, Tory Burch, Celine, Gucci and Michael Kors but not as abundant as the top 3.  I guess what carries the most value are the three popular ones. If you are looking for cheap designer bags, I suggest checking out Don Quixote.  You will usually find on the topmost floors on Donki.  I think this is the one in Shinjuku. I am not so sure. You find them arranged like this or inside locked glass cabinets.  I'm sure the artisans who made these bags will tu...

Gratitude Calendar 2024

I stumbled upon a "challenge" that I thought would be fun and something I can actually do.  I think this will help change my mindset and prepare me for the coming holidays.  Here goes.... Today, I am grateful for the following: 1.  Time for prayer 2.  Convenience of travel and parking when we visited the cemetery 3.  Free lunch
