Insider Information

I was in Ateneo the day after the tragic incident in AGS. I noticed extra security upon entering the campus even at 7:30 in the evening. They were extra strict that night. Since we had no immediate singing engagment to prepare for, everyone was busy chitchatting. We were trying to get information our insiders. Insider 1 was bombarded by media-related requests the whole day. The big networks wanted to get into the campus to get insider information. Apparently, one sneaked in after saying that they'd be covering a football game. Hay. The victim's family didn't want to expose the incident to the media. Ateneo was trying to protect both families since both belong to the Ateneo community. Also according to Insider 1, the victim's body had to be recovered beneath the van. As for the other victim, the yaya, it seems that her leg would have to be amputated. Insider 2, on the other hand, would rather not say anything about the situation. She'd rather wait for ...

I was too late

One of the business ventures I was planning to get into is now out of the question. Somebody already opened a branch right across my target location. I was so dismayed when I saw an email advertising the new location of the business. Well, I'll just have to accept the fact that it is not for me. On the other hand, it could still be mine once I find another location.

Should I get my own?

I've been blogging for several months now. Blogging has become my form of release. I found it difficult to express my thoughts and feelings at first, knowing that my "soul" is open to anyone who reads this. Now, blogging has become part of my daily routine. So now, I am thinking of getting my own space in this thick web called the Internet. I want something that I can truly call my own. This space should reflect my love for chocolates, music and family, not necessarily in that order. Where do I start? Thank goodness for faq s. Questions of a beginner like me are easily answered. Now I know the difference between domains and subdomains. ASP, Perl, PHP, MySqL no longer sound so foreign.

No wonder it is so expensive

I stumbled upon a video discussing how an Hermes bag is produced. The family who owns that brand is incredibly lucky. I suddenly want to be a part of that family. On the other hand, I'd settle for working for them. If you want to see it for yourself, click this link .

City of Golden Friendship

Our quick visit to one of the key cities in Mindanao was filled to the brim. It was extra grueling because I was arranging Vic's surprise from faraway. My hectic day started at 4:30am. I needed to be at the NAIA Terminal 3 for the 6AM call time. I had to be in early since I was assigned "Punong-abala" for that part of the tour. Our choir manager was already in CDO giving a talk. Being the PA, I had to take note of people who aren't checked in yet. It wasn't a big deal except for "some" small issue. A couple of people failed to arrive at the arranged call time because they overslept! When I called them for a location check, they were still at home, unpacked and not ready to leave. There was nothing I could do but tell them to hurry. I wasn't too worried, since there is another flight leaving in four hours. I just informed them about their options. After about 45mins, they haven't arrived at the airport yet. They had to go back to get t...

Fly In, Fly Out...

is our new mantra. It is the ACS' newest solution to striking a balance between singing engagements, work and family. We'd fly to a new destination over the weekend then come back in time for the next work week. This started with Tokyo, then with CDO. This scheme has its own pros and cons. Naturally, our time to explore the new place is very limited. Our plane fare, though sponsored, is not maximized. On the other hand, it is very ideal for people who have several commitments. It has given us a chance to visit a new place, even for just a short while. This arrangement, however, has caused major physical setbacks. It is good that there are no plans of FIFO in the near future. I don't know if we can keep this up if we do this regularly.

Finland?

I came home from our rehearsal last night really excited. It seems that we were invited to go sing in Finland. Exciting! Our target travel date is the third week of August. If this pushes through, it will be my first Scandinavian visit. We still have to determine if we can afford this trip because the ACS has another major project taking place early next year. There is a slight complication though. Vic and I are scheduled to go to the States on the second week of August. One of his cousins is getting married, so the event will be a reunion of sorts. This would also be my chance to see the houses in Vegas and Florida. I hope I don't have to choose between the two. I like to go to both! It seems that I'm making up for all the travel opportunities I passed up on last year. I am not complaining.
